Over the next 5 weeks the cabin will be removed and the aim is to take the boat to Braunston as an unconverted motor.
Cabin gone.....
02/December/2009 06:23 PM
DAY 4 - Admirals cabin has now gone. The gunwhales have been mostly removed and the old steel bottom is being cut out. The condition of the hull sides and gunwhales is actually pretty good, better than we thought. The counter will need the most attention. The bow is also looking good. The steel has been laid for the new build replica Northwich alongside Admiral.

USK
22/June/2009 07:42 PM
A sad day for all people interested in historic boats. Narrowboat Usk was removed from the canal near Braunston by BWB last week, no care has seemed to have been taken with the event. Our thoughts are with the owner as he tries to recover what he can from the remains of the boat.

Admiral
13/May/2009 11:59 AM
I have managed to buy “Admiral” an EX Fellows Morton & Clayton steamer. The boat has been a bit neglected over the last few years but she will soon cruise again in the future.

The boat was at Debdale marina on the bank, there were a few holes in the hull where prospective buyers had had a hammer! It is 57’ feet long currently and there will not be a steam engine going back in! The boat will be craned out and transported to Stockton where it will be patched up.

France
19/March/2009 11:39 AM
I have managed to buy EX FMC motor boat “France”. The boat was at Crick marina. I initially was looking for an ex steamer hull but “France” turned out to be a great boat with a JP2 in her. WIll be boating the boat back on my own to Stockton to await a rebuild.

Data files
08/March/2009 02:39 PM
I have uploaded a couple of small data files of working boats info and some engine info. They are not complete and are a work in progress (long progress) there are errors but I would like any feedback on the layout and concept of the data and if people would find this useful?
